Chuck Strangers returns to London on his European tour, supported by fresh Lex Records signee Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon’s debut UK live performance, + more TBA.
Chuck Strangers' rise from Pro Era co-founder to one of New York’s finest independent MCs has been a thrilling come up. After serving as an in-house beatmaker for Joey Bada$$’ crew, he established himself as a keen surveyor of Brooklyn politics on his 2018 debut *Consumers Park* and 2020’s *The Boys & Girls EP.* Chuck’s latest album *A Forsaken Lover’s Plea* reflects on the evolution of his craft and character, positioning him as a formidable force in the current hip-hop landscape.
On *A Forsaken Lover’s Plea* Chuck tapped a number of longtime collaborators, each sharing a familiar 90s-NYC backdrop — Joey Bada$$, Erick the Architect, Remy Banks. The album featured production from veterans The Alchemist and Animoss alongside Lex’s own multi-platinum Eyedress.
**Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon** is a Charlotte, North Carolina-born rapper whose unfiltered honesty and razor-sharp wit have made him one of the most compelling voices in underground hip-hop. A self-made artist who funded his early releases through hustling, event promotion, and merch, Jah-Monte is now stepping onto a larger stage with his upcoming debut album for the acclaimed independent label Lex Records.
Since emerging in the late 2010s, Jah-Monte has built a reputation for vivid, conversational rhymes that swing between braggadocio and emotional vulnerability.
