Henry Grace: This Is The Place release show

For the last few years, it has been hard to separate Henry’s music from the American landscape. Moving from the UK to California at 21, Henry played his first shows in the small clubs and bars of Los Angeles and San Francisco. There he was introduced to the music of artists like Ray Lamontagne who helped shape his early writing and the songs that would later appear on his debut album Alive In America.

Since the release of Alive In America in 2022, Henry has grown a loyal following in London where he now lives with sold out shows at The Lexington, Omeara and The Jazz Cafe. His music has been championed by the likes of Anthem, Americana UK, Absolute Radio, Songwriting Magazine, Wonderland, Mahogany and BBC Introducing. He was a headliner at the 2024 Great Escape Festival and performed on The Acoustic Stage at this year’s Glastonbury.

This Is The Place is the second track from a new album co-produced with Blaine Harrison from Mystery Jets. The single sees the London born artist writing about the city he grew up in and in which he finds himself living once more. It marks a departure from the stark and sparse arrangements of Alive In America and introduces a more transatlantic and band-driven sound.

This Is The Place comes out on September 10th, followed by a stripped-back, intimate release show at Next Door Records in Shepherds Bush on September 17th with support from Fran Lusty.
