Chimehours + Arianne Churchman + Well Dressed DJs

Chimehours host a special show at Folklore Hoxton in celebration of the release of their debut album 'Underneath The Earth'. A haunted collection of songs inspired by the novel Lanny by Max Porter, the album raid the vaults of 70s cinema and trad folk soundscapes to riff on contemporary anxieties and ecological yearning. Drums, drones, and ethereal melodies lead the listener on a journey from the barrow to the bower, by way of woodlands deep. The duo of Beck Goldsmtih & Jon Dix bring the album to life with a full band.

Support comes from London-based Arianne Churchman, whose work looks at British Folklore and traverses performance, sound, film, textiles and objects. She has collaborated with the likes of Benedict Drew and Plastique Fantastic and has released music with Folklore Tapes.
