Nu-jazz guitar trio from Bristol bringing hard-edged grooves and improvisation together in one captivating live experience.
King Heron's sound is unapologetically their own—wonky, nerdy, math-rock infused jazz exploring lyrical expression, intricate basslines and fluttering soundscapes. Groove-oriented and always improvising, their live performances are where the magic happens. Tunes take their own path, never played the same twice. At the heart of it all is a deep trust and connection between three friends exploring a new jazz impression together.
With support from BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM, and shared stages with Oscar Jerome, Mdou Moctar and Lydian Collective, King Heron are back at 12 Bar after a triumphant return to Exeter. This is live jazz that oozes soul—bright, smooth, and utterly captivating.
