Shell Company - Chris Banks, Rob Banks, and Rosabella Allen, revel in creating swells of sound that feel tidal in their swaying ebb and flow, occasionally cut through with more defined motifs or plunged downwards through a satisfyingly brittle lo-end crackle. The memories that fray on a post-club night walk home reside here, underpinned by Rosabella's poetry, part 5am epiphany, part deeper yearning for a shift in scenario - it’s a quiet battle for hope against boredom, despondency and the gnawing anxiety of life darkened by the ever-lengthening shadows of 21st century Britain.

Manchester-based rapper and producer VHS MIDNIGHT STYLE floats seamlessly between cloud rap, ambient plugg, hyperpop and UK club music, most recently releasing two full length projects with local imprint Mutualism. From the greyscale fractals of ‘set for life’ to the floating ambient dub production of ‘cement’, VHS’ latest album “life’s a zoo” peels away at the seams to reveal hypnotic and subdued ambient soundscapes pared with his own introspective musings.
