Notebook is an international film magazine published regularly online, since 2007, and twice annually in print, since 2022. Through criticism, interviews, and other features, it provides a curated vision of what’s most exciting and moving about the art of cinema.

With its distinctive design approach and contributions from renowned critics, filmmakers, and artists, Notebook is a showcase for novel encounters with film culture from diverse viewpoints.

Join us for a talk that takes you behind the scenes of Notebook’s print-only biannual magazine. Managing editor Matt Turner and Design Manager Tom Lobo Brennan will share insights into the publication’s creative workflow, design process, and editorial vision—revealing how each issue comes together as a celebration of the art and culture of cinema.
