Norwegian composer and multi-instrumentalist Arne Kjelsrud Mathisen returns with Oneiric — a trippy, cosmic dreamscape of mostly instrumental music, recorded entirely on analogue gear at his Nygrenda Vev & Dur studio in rural Norway.

The album drifts between surreal, playful, and vividly colorful worlds, inspired by the bizarre yet natural logic of dreams. Longtime collaborators Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) and Gary Olson (The Ladybug Transistor) join on two tracks, adding a human touch to the kaleidoscopic sound.

Blending quirky British pop, French dream pop, New York’s 60s tape experiments, and ambient psychedelia, Oneiric feels like the soundtrack to a dream you can’t quite shake — strange, beautiful, and endlessly inviting.
