Be ready for a night full of surprising musical elements, hypnotic grooves, and unbounded creativity.
Born in Dakar and of Casamance origin, IBAAKU is a prolific and genre-bending artist. He began his career in the early 2000s on the Senegalese hip-hop scene as a rapper, producer, and singer, taking part in several musical projects and collectives that shaped Dakar’s alternative movement. Over the years, IBAAKU has collaborated with and produced for some of the most respected names in African hip-hop, while also composing music for film and television.
Since 2016, IBAAKU has emerged as a leading figure in electronic and experimental music on the African continent, performing at major international festivals such as WOMEX and Roskilde Festival.
His latest album, Joola Jazz, is a vibrant fusion of electronica, griot jazz, and traditional rhythms from southern Senegal—a sonic journey that bridges ancestral heritage and futuristic soundscapes.
K’BOKO is a Brazilian-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, percussionist, music therapist, and social worker whose sound he calls “high ancient future vibes.” Blending Afro-diasporic rhythms with 808s, sub-bass, and synths, his music fuses ancestral drums with electronic textures. Rooted in traditional percussion, K’BOKO crafts immersive journeys that connect Afro-Brazilian cadences and global bass, bridging candomblé terreiros and underground dancefloors.
K’BOKO’s latest project, Atabaque 808 EP, is a sonic ritual—an alchemical blend of ancestral percussion and contemporary bass music. Praised for its raw energy and authenticity, both the EP and its live show have garnered acclaim, especially during his electrifying set at Nyege Nyege Festival Paris alongside members of the Sonic Interventions collective and WOMEX.
