JQ and Richard Pike + Lauren Doss + Pentu

JQ & Richard Pike launch new album 'Tessera' at SJQ on the 19th October with support from Lauren Doss and Pentu.

JQ (Joe Quirke) and Richard Pike have been collaborating for many years. Two-thirds of jazz-tinted new age trio Forgiveness (Gondwana Records) and partner curators of UK’s Salmon Universe label.

‘Tessera’ is their first official duo recording. It explores the relationship between texture, frequency and impermanence in a singular way, a fleeting stream of sound materials that float in and out of view, within seconds can appear present and demanding of attention.

Lauren Doss is a British-American, audio-visual artist born in London.

Her first full length album, Voices, was released by Salmon Universe in 2020 and is the culmination of five-year journey where Doss has created music for the purpose of movement.

Pentu is a London based producer, sound designer and guitarist, exploring experimental and ambient soundscapes, focusing on sounds that mirror the splintered reality of living in an online world.

He has previously released with Mappa, Daddypower Records and Surf.
