NYC-based 2000s Island Records cult innovators Laptop return with “I Don’t Know”, the third single from their forthcoming album On This Planet (out spring 2026). Following the viral momentum of their topical, TikTok-fueled singles “Weirder” and “Additional Animals”, the band delivers a sharp back-to-school anthem laced with trademark deadpan wit. Balancing childlike defiance with Orwellian unease, “I Don’t Know” doubles as personal history and protest in these authoritarian times. Both playful and unsettling, it’s another strange dispatch from life on this planet.

Maryze is a queer Canadian-French alt-pop artist based between Los Angeles and Montreal. Their stormy-sweet sound blends electronic beats with fiery, introspective bilingual lyrics. After touring Australia and New Zealand with Alex Cameron in 2024 and going viral with their single “Langue,” Maryze spent much of the following year performing around Los Angeles, and taking part in artist residencies, including the coveted SOCAN House. In 2025, they released “Versed,” performed at SXSW, and opened for Boy Harsher, Princess Superstar, and Desire. Their new single, “False Icon,” arrives October 22 alongside a European tour, ushering in the next chapter of their bold new era.
