Description

It begins as a seemingly ordinary morning in the quiet town of Pontefract until police storm the Miller household, searching for 13-year-old Jamie Miller. Within hours, the community is shaken to its core as Jamie becomes the prime suspect in the brutal murder of his classmate, Katie Leonard.

As the investigation unfolds, the dark and fractured psyche of Jamie is exposed, revealing how deeply he has been influenced by toxic online cultures, incel ideology, misogyny, and glorified violence. What begins as a tragedy soon becomes a haunting exploration of how social media and digital subcultures can warp vulnerable young minds, turning innocence into something unrecognizable.

Katie’s death sends shockwaves through Bruntwood Academy and the town of Pontefract, shattering the illusion of safety and purity surrounding its youth. Behind every screen and suburban smile, cracks begin to show, in families, friendships, and the very idea of innocence itself.

This harrowing story of grief, influence, and lost innocence forces a community to confront the unsettling question: how well do we really know our children?
