Maquina (PT) + open act Mosquitos Like Helicopters

The dynamic Lisbon-based trio, composed of João Cavalheiro, Tomás Brito, and

Halison Peres, has made a significant impact on the European underground music

scene. With energetic performances that blend dance culture with heavy-hook

songcraft, the band quickly gained a reputation among audiences of all ages.

MAQUINA. draws influence from styles centered around repetition and minimalism,

such as Krautrock and Industrial Techno, but boldly explores the boundaries of

these genres, incorporating elements of noise and electronic music.

In two years, MAQUINA. has performed over 150 concerts, including extensives

tours across EU/UK, and released two albums. The second, titled PRATA, was released

by Fuzz Club Records and follows the success of their debut album DIRTY TRACKS FOR

CLUBBING, released on January 27, 2023 by Saliva Diva. During this period, the band

also performed almost every weekend in Portugal, playing from north to south of the

country.

One of the most striking features of MAQUINA.'s live performances are their

commitment to authenticity and musicality. This trio doesn’t rely on machinery, but

instead embraces the raw power of live instruments, providing an electrifying

groove-heavy experience that resonates with the audience.
