Description

Unleashing a sonic whirlwind straight from the heart of New York City’s vibrant musical landscape, Thundersmack is the brainchild of two extraordinary musicians, Michael Wilbur and Leo P. Fusing the gritty energy of NYC subways with inimitable style, Thundersmack promises a musical experience that is as infectious as it is unforgettable.

Leo P, the band’s Baritone Saxophone and Clarinet aficionado, is a showman to the core. His captivating dance moves light up the stage, serving as a visual crescendo to his mind-bending musical prowess. He is best known for his BBC Prom’s performance at Royal Albert Hall and his band Too Many Zooz’s collaboration with Beyoncé at the CMAs. His videos have been viewed millions of times throughout various platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Leo brings a distinctive flair that turns any performance into an awe-inspiring spectacle.

Michael Wilbur is a multi-instrumentalist virtuoso, primarily on tenor and bass saxophones. Best known as a founding member of the band Moon Hooch, Michael has amassed a viral following on social media for his electrifying and unique spin on bass saxophone mixed with hiphop/trap beats. He has toured the world and has been featured with Moon Hooch on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert as well as many other notable global publications such as BBC, Thrasher, The New Yorker, The Guardian and more.
