The Dickies

The Dickies are an American punk rock band formed in 1977 in San Fernando Valley, California. Known for their fast-paced, energetic sound and humorous lyrics, they were one of the first punk bands to emerge from Los Angeles. They gained early recognition with covers like "Banana Splits (Tra La La Song)" and originals such as "Give It Back" and "You Drive Me Ape (You Big Gorilla)." Their music combines classic punk aggression with melodic pop sensibilities, influencing later pop punk bands. Over the years, they've remained a cult favorite, releasing albums and touring with their signature mix of comedy and chaos.
