Migration, music and collective joy are crossing borders once again. Las Forasteritas, a diverse and migrant Andean music ensemble, arrive in the United Kingdom for the very first time to light up the iconic The Jago. Blending huayno, festive Andean rhythms and a contemporary urban edge, Las Forasteritas have carved out a space where celebration becomes resistance. Their live set brings together vocals, zapateo footwork and migrant storytelling to push boundaries and open doors for new diasporic voices across Europe.
Here, resistance is danced. Memory is sung.
Formed in Barcelona, the band has performed in renowned venues across Spain and toured in countries such as France and Austria, carrying with them a vibrant aesthetic, explosive energy and a message rooted in the lived experience of Andean diasporas: Andean music is alive, evolving, and reimagined from afar.
After releasing their debut EP Huaynos Migrantes, Las Forasteritas are now entering a new creative cycle with fresh material and an expanded live show featuring visuals, choreography and a colourful stage presence that bridges ancestral sounds with modern influences.
Their performance at The Jago marks their UK debut and the opening of a new chapter for the band. Expect a night of Andean rhythms, migrant storytelling and unapologetic celebration — a journey from the highlands to the heart of London’s multicultural East End.
Get ready to dance, stomp and celebrate.
