A rare live set from mid-century re-appropriators Les Hommes whose extra dusty Lowrey organ, horns, flute, vibraphone and heavy percussion conjures '60s Rio, cinelounge, eastern modes and esoteric jazz. Their medium-cool presence has been apparent since the late '90s with packed performances in London and abroad with special appearances for events such as the Independent Film Awards and Eurotrash parties. Their live show moves from widescreen mondorama through to intense Brazilian organ-and-percussion workouts to hypnotising exotica. The Les Hommes groove comprises sounds we nearly forgot existed – vaguely graspable jazzified moments lost to dusty celluloid.
