Mark Reeder presents: 'Die Unbekannten & Shark Vegas' + DJ Set

We're thrilled to welcome Mark Reeder back to Rough Trade Berlin at the end of January. He'll be presenting the Suezan Studio Super Deluxe Edition CDs, Die Unbekannten 'Don’t Tell Me Stories' and Shark Vegas 'You Hurt Me', reading from the 130-page full-coloured book that comes with the CDs, followed by a DJ Set.

Mark Reeder is from Manchester, England. He is a musician, record producer, remixer, DJ, graphic designer and filmmaker, who has been living and working in Berlin since 1978.

Die Unbekannten (Engl: The Unknown) were a duo-cum-three-piece band, formed on 17 June 1981, for a one-off German Reunification Concert. Their first ever live performance is captured on this CD edition.

By 1984, the sound of Die Unbekannten had started to become more hi-energy and they felt a new identity was required. With a change of sound and change of name, Shark Vegas became their new moniker after being invited to support New Order on their 1984 European Tour. During this tour, Shark Vegas recorded 'You Hurt Me' at Conny Plank’s Studio, together with New Order’s Bernard Sumner.
