Description

Schwet & Strange Brew present a crucial double bill of bedroom-pop and adjacent-indie...

First up is the Bristol debut for Deutsch polymath Dennis Schulze AKA CV Vision.

Since 2021 he has splurged six(!) LPs and 10" for some of the finer labels in Europe (South of North, Bureau B), we're giddy to welcome the "DIY boffin" with a full backing band to Strange Brew.

Channeling Canterbury, Dusseldorf and Chicago via the Bedroom, the Library and the Garage...

"It’s a sound that condenses elements of acid rock, psych soul, library funk and new wave oddities into a movie soundtrack for your mind. It’s a journey from ‘60s west coast LSD-drenched excursions to ‘80s synth and post-punk mutations"

File alongside: R. Stevie Moore, Raymond Scott, Ariel Pink, J Dilla, Bo Hansson, Pierre Henry, Delroy Edwards, Piero Umiliani, David Axelrod, Connan Mockasin, Yokel, Arzachel.

Gyeongsu is a musical artist emerging from the independent and experimental scene. His work, which can be described as “indie-adjacent,” draws equally from rock, hip-hop, and folk. Multifaceted in nature, his music demonstrates a strong formal freedom, revealing a pronounced interest in discontinuity and reuse. Gyeongsu has notably performed at the Dietch Gallery (New York), the auditorium of the MEP (Paris), Mayhem (Copenhagen), and Cave 12 (Geneva).
