Lydia Laughing is a London-based alternative folk band comprising of harp, cello, guitar and vocals. Their sound is characterised by the fusion of their musical backgrounds, ranging from classical to dream pop and experimental rock, and is underpinned by the traditional music of their respective countries. The result is a tapestry of sound that feels both new and old.
Emmi Maaria - Emmi Maaria is a Finnish singer, violist, and composer based in London, blending contemporary alternative music with classical textures, folk influences, and layers of electronic sound.
Adela - Adela's songwriting roams curiously through many sound-worlds, drawing inspiration from the wide range of music that has surrounded her throughout her life. She began writing songs in Paris, where she moved after finishing her degree in classical violin. She eventually brought her songs to London and has since done a songwriting residency at The Royal George, as well as played in venues such as The Finsbury and The Gladstone Arms. Songwriting opened a new door for her to explore her story as well as her instrument.
