**The Leon Stax Equation** are a 6 piece Soul band based in Galway. They formed in 2023 and have been blazing a trail on the Irish music scene and even as far as Europe and the USA in that short time.

The Equation is driven by funky drumming from band leader Leon Stax with a heavy downbeat, simple, melodic basslines, scratchy rhythm guitars and familiar yet original lyrics. Their live performance goes on a journey from smooth slow soul music to raucous upjumped funk.

Perth band, **LUCI**, showcase a 90’s neo-soul inspired sound with shades of modern jazz. The 5-piece musical collective is one with contagious on-stage chemistry and a proclivity to improvise. They showcase a versatile catalogue with features from Perth powerhouse vocalists such as PERSIA and Hey Hannah. More recently their debut album, ‘The Suite’ displays their core of instrumental based arrangements with minimalist grooves and plush textures.
