Support from twst
Born in Barry, Wales, twst (she/they) spent their early years working in their dad’s chicken factory. At 14, they left home and school, relocating to a studio in the South Wales Valleys. There, they immersed themselves in internet culture and taught themselves production, laying the foundation for their sound.
Thousands of bedroom producers mimic the sounds of mainstream pop, but few actually pull off its heart-stopping sense of scale. twst is one of them - Laura Snapes, The Guardian
