Tony Kofi & The Organisation perform Lou Donaldson

A celebration of soul jazz, groove and alto saxophone brilliance.

Award-winning saxophonist Tony Kofi joins The Organisation for a vibrant tribute to the music of Lou Donaldson, celebrating the irresistible blend of bebop, blues and deep soul-jazz grooves that defined his sound.

This performance focuses largely on Donaldson’s celebrated collaborations with Dr. Lonnie Smith, delivering a night of infectious rhythm, bluesy swagger and deep groove. Expect classic tunes including Blues Walk, Alligator Bogaloo, Hot Dog, Good Gracious, Rev. Moses and Ode to Billie Joe, alongside related compositions by Jimmy Smith, Pat Martino, Horace Silver and others.
