Acclaimed blues singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jerron Paxton returns to Europe this May for a run of headline dates across the Netherlands, Ireland and the UK, on sale now: jerronpaxton.com
A songwriter, inheritor of tradition and a true modern-day songster, Paxton builds a bridge between generations, embodying the blues, ragtime and old-time Black music of the 1920s and ’30s while speaking directly to the present day . His Smithsonian Folkways release Things Done Changed — his first album of entirely original material — was hailed as “a history-conscious blues album for our time” (Wall Street Journal), further cementing his reputation as one of the leading voices in contemporary roots music .
In October 2024, Paxton made a standout appearance on Later... with Jools Holland, performing “What’s Gonna Become of Me” and a special duet of “Night Time Is The Right Time” with Jools Holland — a performance that led to a sold-out show at London’s legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.

Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and now based in New York City, Paxton approaches his craft with wit, reverence and deep historical knowledge. Playing guitar, banjo, piano and violin, he revives the sounds of a century ago with striking authenticity — yet his songs remain sharp, personal and unmistakably modern.
