Description

Étáin has a sound. A sound that wraps the listener up in all the warmth of Laurel Canyon folk yet burns bright with Celtic spirit. With a songwriting style that is centred in storytelling and a disarming flow of vulnerability, she approaches her work like a diligent craftswoman, perfecting her writing and delivery to derive the most emotion out of even the smallest of movements.

Étáin received the Young Songwriters Award in 2016 while she was still a student at a convent school in the north-west of Ireland. Since then, she has released two self-produced, critically-acclaimed EPs and collaborated with LA-producer, Noah Weinman, on her debut single, ‘At Least One’, with When the Horn Blows remarking that ‘its unflinching vulnerability is engrossing’.

Étáin is a visionary artist who adopts a uniquely multi-disciplinary perspective to her work. As Creative Director of her own production company, she operates at the intersection of music, film, and theatre. Weaving together these disciplines, she builds entire worlds around her songs and invites her audiences to get lost in them.
