Our Latin Thing takes over Bar Doña for a night dedicated to progressive salsa — a celebration of the genre’s most forward-thinking sounds. Curating a journey through salsa’s most innovative rhythms, intricate arrangements, and socially conscious anthems, OLT highlights the artists and movements that pushed the music — and the message — ahead of their time. Expect bold, boundary-pushing selections that capture the evolution of Latin music’s artistry and political voice. A night for rhythm lovers and musical explorers alike, this is salsa with a vision — progressive, percussive, and unapologetically alive.

A live percussion trio of timbales, congas, and bongos will bring the music to life, featuring special guest and selector Will Fox — South London’s renowned Latin music specialist, vinyl collector, and percussionist.

Pacheco

Pacheco brings a signature sound that bridges golden‑era Salsa and Guaguanco, Cumbia, Boogaloo, Latin Funk and Soul, blending deep cuts.

Dani

Latin Roots Records Founder, Co-producer of Our Latin Thing & one of London’s finest salsa collectors. Dani is a veteran in London's salsa scene, well known within the 'Asomelon - Asociacion Melomanos' - a gathering of melomaniac collectors who share the passion for Salsa.

Will Fox

Will Fox is DJ and percussionist from London and has built a reputation for himself as a Jazz, Soul and Latin music specialist with an extensive collection of vinyl.
