Diminishing Returns & Divine Schism invite you to see swelt launch their debut album ‘Bones’ at the Horse Hospital, London on 21st March. And joining them we'll have legendary US guitarist and songwriter Victor Villarreal (of Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc, Owls and more) and British American lo-fi folk artist Phoebe Troup!
Following the release of 'Bones' on March 10th, London / Bristol based swelt will embark on a run of UK dates, playing their fractured, slow-burning songs. Rooted in restraint and release, their sound draws from ’70s folk, slowcore and first-wave post-rock.
FFO: Sparklehorse, Acetone, Talk Talk, Low
The night will be a delight of interesting song - Victor’s solo work blends intricate finger-style guitar with meditative, rhythm-driven songwriting and Phoebe’s DIY alt-folk/rock/art-pop sound takes inspiration from encounters with landscape, art and mythology. A perfect blend alongside swelt’s lo-fi part-folk, part post-rock, part-Dirty Three soundscapes!
No one turned away for lack of funds!
