Conjuring ft. Damsel Elysium, Abi Asisa, afromerm

**Conjuring** is a monthly live improvisation series curated by **Studio Njoku**, and presented by **Club Cheek**.

It brings together leading experimental musicians for collaborative, improvised performances. The project foregrounds musical dialogue, community building and spiritual expression.

Each show features a unique lineup of musicians performing a one-time improvisation around a motif developed by Tony Njoku.

**Damsel Elysium** is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. Damsel's deeply intuitive practice crosses the boundary between experimental sound art, avant-pop, contemporary classical, and electronics, blurring the lines of genre, discipline and expectation.

**Abi Asisa** is a producer and electroacoustic cellist whose work blends classical, jazz, and experimental influences. By layering and manipulating her cello, she creates textured, emotionally rich soundscapes that sit between composition and improvisation.

**afromerm** is an Oram award-winning composer and sound artist. Her work draws from contemporary, jazz, and experimental disciplines, blending electronic elements with live instrumentation, field recordings, and vocalisations, to create electroacoustic soundscapes that immerse us in the elemental mythology of her project.

**Lara Aisha** is a classically trained, experimental and electroacoustic flautist, whose new duo combines flute with modular synthesizer. She's influenced by classical contemporary, jazz, African and Asian cultural flute music.
