May Day May Day!!! It’s officially the start of Summer, the return of the light with those lovely long evenings, and traditionally a day of celebration and folk dance. Join us at the Round Chapel in Hackney to mark the start of summer. We are in the process of making a Maypole.. so watch this space.

About The DancingAlthough called many things; Ceilidh, Country Dance, Barn Dance, Ceili Dance, Square Dance, Set Dancing - one thing is certain, it's all "traditional" and how people would entertain themselves before TV and raves. We have a live band on stage to provide the music, and a "Dance Caller", who is expert at teaching you all the simple and fun moves. First we learn the dance by walking through it with the caller, then the band strike up, and we dance to the music. You don't need any experience, just willingness to have a go and have fun.
