Inspired by John Martyn, Anthony Braxton, Ravel and the philosophy of Kenny Werner, Charlie Keen's Silver Birch explores nostalgia and loss with a graceful suspense and introspective resonance. At times alarming, at others heartbreakingly sombre and yet somehow never without an enlivening joy, Keens’ trombone playing takes centre stage after years of playing with and for other people including- Keg, Terry Pack's Tree's, Skydaddy and Squid.
