All Of Margate Is An Art Show: Exhibition/Gig

‘All Of Margate is an Art Show’ is a poster art retrospective taking place at WhereElse that looks back on the past 13 years of live music by the sea and celebrates the lifelong friendships, both intimate and parasocial, that are forged between event organisers, visual artists, musicians and coastal communities.

The exhibition explores what can happen when art transcends the threshold of advertising to create the democratising effect of a public art show once said gig posters are placed in the windows of a town’s cafes, shops, restaurants and boarded up buildings.

It’s going to look sick as fuck too.

Expect to see posters created over the years by Raissa Pardini, Benedict Drew, Daisy Warne (aka Babii), Jordan Gray, Santiago Taberna and many more

For shows with musicians and bands including Hailu Mergia, Deerhoof, Squid, Mary Lattimore, Katy J Pearson and more

Join us for the private view at 6:00pm on Friday 20th March where there will be limited free cans of Lager (PV style) courtesy of our event sponsor Orion as well as live music from 9:00pm from rising talents Lulu and studio 20.
