Description
The Rock Band Thank From Leeds first emerged in 2016 from the scene surrounding CHUNK , their city’s notorious and now sadly defunct DIY space. The band spent six years honing their brand of volatile and joyously cathartic post-punk alongside a hivemind of grindcore and powerviolence bands, UK garage and bashment DJs, before releasing their debut full-length album ‘Thoughtless Cruelty’ in 2022.
2025 was a big year for Thank , starting with a UK co-headline tour alongside Kal Marks and ending with a run of shows opening for Mclusky and Young Knives across Europe, and their busiest festival season yet, including explosive sets at 2000 Trees , Truck Festival , Manchester Punk Festival, ArcTanGent and more.
“It makes me laugh when Leeds DIY lifers still refer to us as a ‘new band’, but I’m not gonna shatter that illusion if it makes us seem young and exciting,” jokes Vinehill-Cliffe. “We’ve got a full decade of material to pull from at this point, so I’m excited to wheel out a few old tunes we haven’t played for a while at these shows, as well as road-testing some of the new stuff we’ve been cooking up.”
