Platform Ideas Festival

Timings announced for the first Platform Ideas Festival. Next Saturday @ Portico Studios, 6 Beadman Street SE27  30th May. Afterparty in the evening.

At 6.30pm - a one-on-one conversation with author Lanre Bakare on black British history & collective memory.

At 5.15pm, Who We Are, a conversation celebrating mixed-raced identity and exploring why we need better understanding of the perspective it offers. With Keme Nzerem and Cherise Hamilton-Stephenson. 

At 4.30pm a screening of Save Our Heritage, a flim which documents the fight to save Hackney's most historic buildings. Followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Winstan Whitter. 

At 3.30pm Who is environmentalism for,  Panel discussion on widening access for environmental activism with Diyora Shadijanova and Toni Murphy.

at 2.30pm, an informal conversation on the need for more casual touch in society. With Barbara Ntumy and Almaz Ohene.
