Se os elefantes correm para zonas altas e se os pássaros antecipam mudanças de rota em momentos de crise, não restam dúvidas de que o Antropo falha em criar habilidades de resposta para um mundo em ruínas. Da nossa parte, quando o céu ameaçar cair sobre as nossas cabeças, sabemos que a pista resistirá em ser a linguagem comum à altura do desafio. Construiremos, numa dança em pares, o sonho de um futuro vivível: onde ciborgues, máquinas, fungos, bactérias, humanos e não-humanos projetam imaginários que respondem a todas as formas de vida no cosmo. Na EXOTIKA, dançar em pares significa reconhecer que o futuro será uma negociação feita em conjunto, considerativa de todas as formas de vida.

Nesta oitava edição da EXOTIKA, voltamos a acelerar a pista para desacelerar o que fica lá fora. No bar, deixamo-nos levar por Pauli Cakes e Alexjustforfans; na disco, Ecstasya e MEIBI na especial companhia de LSDXOXO, figura incontornável de uma geração que redefine a eletrónica contemporânea. Com as performances de Samba e Emma Fisher, reafirmaremos o corpo enquanto dispositivo de resposta perante o que nos acorrenta.

If elephants run toward higher ground and birds alter their routes in anticipation of crisis, it becomes clear that the Anthropos has failed to develop the reflexes required for a world in ruins. On our side, when the sky threatens to fall above our heads, we know the dancefloor will endure as a common language equal to the challenge. Together, dancing in pairs, we will build the dream of a livable future: one where cyborgs, machines, fungi, bacteria, humans, and non-humans project imaginaries that respond to every form of life in the cosmos. At EXOTIKA, dancing in pairs means recognizing that the future will be a negotiation made collectively, attentive to all forms of life.

In this eighth edition of EXOTIKA, we once again accelerate the dancefloor in order to slow down everything left outside. In the bar, we surrender to Pauli Cakes and Alexjustforfans; in the disco, Ecstasya and MEIBI appear in the special company of LSDXOXO, a defining figure of a generation reshaping contemporary electronic music. With performances by Samba and Emma Fisher, we reaffirm the body as a device of response against the forces that bind us.
