J Mahon is the project of Australian artist and musician Jarrod Michael Mahon.
After releasing 20 home-recorded EPs and albums documenting his journey to sobriety, he unveiled his first studio record, Everything Has a Life (2023), produced with Syd Kemp (Ulrika Spacek, Spiritualized). In 2025, Mahon signed with Germany’s Unique Records and reunited with Kemp for his sophomore chamber-pop album, Begin Again, Again, heavily influenced by Sparklehorse, Spiritualized, and Daniel Johnston.
In late 2025 he formed a new live trio, J MAHON and The Heavenly Pop Hits. This is the first time performing with a live band since early 2023. Reimagining his songs with a 90s slacker/power pop edge reminiscent of The Replacements, Galaxie 500 and Big Star.
Mahon has toured Germany and the UK with Speedy Ortiz, Tess Parks, Ulrika Spacek, and Drahla - also performed one off shows with Video Age, Whitney K and Heartworms.
2026 presents a new year and alongside that performances in New York City at The New Colossus Festival and shows with Yellow Days, The Tubs and Alix Fernz.
BORSCHT are a South London band blending alt-rock and esoteric folk, built around frontman Ernst’s songwriting and shaped in collaboration with Benjamin Romans-Hopcraft (Warmducher, Childhood). Drawing on influences from Lou Reed to The Kinks, their sound mixes nostalgic storytelling with darker, slightly unhinged energy, introduced on their debut single ‘Colour of Forever’, with a debut EP arriving May 15th.
