Mount St. Helen is the alias of Oxford-based multi-instrumentalist Aris Sabetai. Starting the project in 2024, Sabetai’s music blends 90s guitar music, shoegaze textures and early emo influence with string arrangements and alt-rock sensibility — all written, self-produced and recorded in the confines of his dorm room at university.
Since its nascence, Mount St. Helen has developed a reputation for its strong audio-visual presence, intense live shows, and distinct black and white media language. Following early endorsement from Radiohead’s former manager Brian Message, the project has since caught the attention of 2x Grammy Award-winning producer Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters). Alongside the music, Mount St. Helen launched their first clothing line theclassisnotimpressed to popular acclaim. In the live setting, Sabetai is joined by Francesco Reni (Guitar), Joe Smith (Bass) and Ryan Taylor-Costin (Drums).
Join Mount St. Helen in celebrating the release of the debut EP ‘The Stillness, The Dancing’ before they set off to headline GloFest 2026 and play Truck Festival 2026 this summer.
