Open Mic Night (Read the Rules Below)

Open Mic Nights are back for 2026 and running fortnightly on the first and third Tuesday of each month. So come down and showcase your orignal music to local music lovers.

We will have the stage set up for Acoustic Guitar and Vocals, there will also be an aux to play backing tracks. If you want a more comprehensive set up then please e-mail jon@hotboxlive.co.uk and we will go through it.

The reason for holding this event is to allow anyone to perform, but most importantly to build a community of like minded musicians in Chelmsford. To do this we will have a variety of Hosts for the event.

**THE RULES**

Please book a Musican ticket if you are looking to play and / or sing!

Just watching please book a spectactor ticket!

Walk ins available to play too if space is available.

UNDER 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult maximum ratio of 2 under 18's to 1 adult (By adult we mean someone who is either a Parent or Gaurdian, not a 18 to 25 year old, unless otherwise agreed).

This is a respectful environment for musicians, HOT BOX makes this free and bringing your own drinks or not spending anything at the bar is disrespectful. So please allow us to keep it free by dong your bit.

This is a play and stay event not a play and leave event.
