The Hideous Mink and fierce panda record companies collide at their monthly Hideous Panda showcase to deliver another trouser-ripping trio of freaky fresh talents, very much like this:

GEMMA ROGERS roars in from Walthamstow with a wealth of pop-tinged sass and ska-fuelled suss, all delivered with a new wave rawness and a gnarly political bent.

Devised in a windowless Deptford bedroom and their gran’s cellar BARBADOS99 - formed by brothers Fin and Sam Abbo, rhythm section of the horn-fuelled jazz-punk outfit Opus Kink - sees the pair shred through some phat electro rock ’n’ roll. It’s Modern Lovers sipping cocktails with New Order in a sandpit. It’s the sound of the smell of AC/DCs first beach bar BBQ. Get on down.

Emerging from Madrid’s underground scene, FUZZSPHERE have spent the past few years shaping their dreamy pop sound and identity. With a new lineup in place and their debut EP ‘Intertwine 1’ out in the fuzzy indie stratosphere Fuzzphere is driven by noisy guitars and a powerful rhythm section. The Spains of Being Pure At Heart indeed.
