Sheri Vari is the stage name of Mariana Cruz, a DJ and electronic music producer known for her eclectic, genre-spanning sets and long-standing presence in Lisbon’s underground club scene.

Her sound blends influences from classic disco, synth funk, and Detroit techno, among other genres. Sheri Vari is especially recognized for connecting the historical roots of dance music — from Detroit, Chicago, and New York to European electronic traditions — into emotionally driven, dancefloor-focused sets.

Groove Junkies brings together two seasoned musicians, Rui Maia and João Gomes, driven by the same passion: discovering, digging and sharing music. Together they explore the endless richness of musical cultures from around the world, crossing genres and dissolving boundaries in the name of rhythm.
