Description

**Hackney Art Week and Strongroom present Stephen Elcock in conversation with John Marchant (the Jamie Reid archive). Joined by Anne McCloy, John and Stephen will discuss the works of Jamie Reid through the ages.**

**Mike Nichols shares his unique first-hand insight into the process of designing the Strongroom, an ambitious 15 year process by Jamie Reid, often cited as his proudest achievement**

**John Marchant** *is a gallerist, curator and art director currently living in Brighton, UK. Having worked for many years with internationally renowned artists such as Nan Goldin and Gary Hume. He also curated exhibitions and worked alongside the renowned artist Jamie Reid for well over two decades. Marchant now represents celebrated and emerging contemporary artists as well as the Jamie Reid Archive.*

**Stephen Ellcock** *is a London-based author, ‘Iconomancer’, obsessive pattern-maker, and a hunter-gatherer and collector of images who has spent the last decade creating an ever-expanding virtual museum of art that is open to all via social media. His ongoing attempt to create the ultimate socialmedia ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ has already attracted more than 700,000 followers worldwide, along with growing media attention — not all of it unwelcome.*
