Description

Thrilled to working on this rad show at London’s Paper Dress Vintage with three exciting, strange, interesting bands! We welcome Lello, Archipelago, and Abigail Snail to PDV on Friday 24th July.

Lello are a noisy, cinematic post-punk inspired by local cowboys, big hair and shrinking chip shop portions. Lello recorded their debut album at Total Refreshment Centre last year, and release it this June digitally and on vinyl. Sax/bass/drums trio. Dexter Bentley said "Infant dubbed trio Lello have Deptford DNA coursing through their skins, strings & valves, effortlessly conjuring up a delightfully shifting sonic pallette of Pinkerlated-Doom-Jazz"

Archipelago are a genre-defying trio of adventurous musicians, formed out of the North East of England’s creative musical underground. Fronted by multi-instrumentalist and composer Faye MacCalman, their sound is a dreamlike collision of otherworldly atmospheres, heartfelt song-writing and energetic off-kilter rhythms.

Abigail Snail is a new project from Stef Kett of Reciprocate / Shield Your Eyes, and Will Glaser of Sly and the Family Drone / World Sanguine Report. The two have combined to create strange music that turns avant-rock, improv, and experimental soul groove into an adventurous collection of tender, boundary-pushing songs.

FYI - this show will be 18+ and the venue room is up a flight of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

Presented by Divine Schism.
