For the first time ever, Peruvian singer and composer Julio Andrade takes the stage in London — a career's worth of songs carried across years, finally heard live here. And there's a twist that makes this more than a gig: opening the night is Imperio Bamba, the Afro-Latin psychedelic band led by his own son. Father and son. Two generations of Peruvian sound, sharing one stage for the very first time.
Imperio Bamba open the evening with their signature Rebel Chicha, cumbia and salsa run through psychedelic synths, the kind of sound that doesn't ask you to dance so much as make it impossible not to. Then the room shifts. Julio Andrade takes over for a recorrido through his greatest hits: a journey through a lifetime of music, story by story.
It will be an encounter to not forget. Rare. Tender. Loud. Unrepeatable.
Come to enjoy Latin American sounds rarely heard live in London.
