This is not a World Music Festival.
This is PHRE.
PHRE Festival presents Roda de Santo, a Brazilian musical collective formed in Lisbon by artists based in Portugal.
Founded in 2021, Roda de Santo celebrates terreiro music and Afro-diasporic traditions such as Umbanda and Candomblé, preserving their foundations while opening them up to contemporary sounds. The group brings together traditional percussion, vocals and handclaps with electronic elements, creating a sound where ancestry, rhythm and innovation meet.
With Alvaro Lancellotti, Karla da Silva, Sara Cabral, Juninho Ibituruna and Bartolo, Roda de Santo turns the stage into a collective space of rhythm, memory and movement.
