Poetry Writing Workshop- The Unreliable Poet

Morocco Bound Bookshop
Mon, Aug 3 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
From 11.33 €

Description

Do our poems need to tell the truth? The whole truth? In this session we'll consider the role of unreliable narration in our writing and how allowing ourselves artistic licence over memories and events can unlock new creative possibilities.

This popular workshop series invites you to explore a different poetic theme every fortnight.

You’ll take inspiration from life, art, music, nature, the city & of course poetry – reading published work, responding to writing prompts, giving each other feedback and most importantly connecting with fellow poetic souls! Everyone should leave with the beginnings of one or two poems & plenty of inspiration to keep writing.

**Rough schedule**

6:30-6:40pm: welcome, time to grab a drink

6:40-7:00pm: warm-up exercise & discussion

7:00-7:45pm: reading, discussing, writing

7:45-8:00pm: break

8:00-8:30pm: reading, discussing, writing

8:30-9:00pm: sharing, workshopping, editing
