ILĀ invites you into a rare and intimate open recording session with legendary Bjõrk producer Guy Sigsworth and Yang Qin virtuoso Mantawoman, offering a behind-the-scenes view of collaboration in the studio.

Through improvisation, the three artists will experiment live and co-create new music. Drawing on his utterly spellbinding work with Björk on her albums Homogenic and Vespertine, as well as his masterpiece debut solo record Stet, to which ILĀ contributed three collaborations, Guy Sigsworth will be playing a celesta. Recognised as one of the world’s most innovative yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer) players, Mantawoman has gained international acclaim for their ability to bridge traditional Chinese music with modern sonic landscapes.
