Description

All you sweet folk, join us for Hiraeth Folk Clubs 2nd Birthday. A summer night of celtic folk music, with the Hiraeth family!

Our headliners:

The Water Chorus started life around the folk clubs of London after the pandemic and have since become a mainstay of the capital’s youthful folk revival. With a rich combination of voice, fiddles, banjo, guitar, bouzouki and concertina, we play folk music that ranges from the raucously celebratory to the eerily affecting. Punky, upbeat arrangements re-discover the joy and energy in folk music, whilst atmospheric re-imaginings of almost-forgotten ballads find humour and absurdity in stories from our shared history.

With support from the folk club favourites, Far Darrig. Brighton based folk four piece the products of diaspora, they sing of the lives, loves and  struggles of working people from Ireland, England and of the not so new world.

and Thomas Pruden. His music is the union of intricate fingerpicked acoustic guitar, a distinctive understated voice and inspired lyrical passages drawing influence from the natural world.
