Every Sunday this summer, we’re bringing live music back to The Victoria garden.
Join us from 2–5pm for Garden Gigs: a series of free afternoon shows featuring some of our favourite new artists performing special acoustic and stripped-back sets in our little green corner of Dalston.
Grab a drink, settle in under the vines and discover your new favourite band in one of London’s best-loved pub gardens. Sunshine encouraged but not essential — we’ve got you covered (literally) if the weather decides not to play along.
Free entry all afternoon. Come early, get comfy and spend your Sunday with us.
THE PLACE IT'S THERE:
The Place It’s There are an alternative rock band based in London, mixing their influences of 90s British indie rock bands with 90s/early 2000s American alternative rock bands. The sound is a refreshing, catchy, straightforward approach to what rock n roll could sound like in 2026.
THE SHA SHA SHANIMALS
The Sha Sha Shanimals is a London band formed out of turbulence, de-somnia, delusion and rock n roll. They are Siân Pattenden, Louis Jones, Dan Farrow and Argentinian drumming powerhouse Camila de la Vega. “Think Blondie, Talking Heads and Devo, transported to the anxiety-inducing pavements of London” - Record Collector. “Like The Pretenders in 1980 if Lawrence was writing their songs” - the New Cue.
HIDING
Hiding hail from South London, where they met at a Halloween party about two years ago. Their songs range from soft and melancholic to loud and fuzzy, but always with a dreamy undertone. The world of their music is populated by bugs and cowboys as much as confusion and heartbreak. You’ll hear hints of The Sundays, Wednesday, and Alvvays, anchored by Soot’s vocals and catchy melodies.
