Mutant Jazz #6 w/ LIJF - Unstoppable Sweeties Show

Parrjazz is delighted to announce our sixth Mutant Jazz event will take place at Liverpool’s Rough Trade venue on Hannover Street, February 21 st , 2025, with doors opening at 7pm.

Mutant Jazz celebrates the emerging talent from Liverpool’s live Jazz Spectrum, exposing them to new audiences from the age of 14 years and upwards.

Mutant Jazz #6 will feature

Lydia Reece – Jazz singer-songwriter with lyricism coloured with themes of self-reflection, honesty, and soul. Directly influenced by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Jorja Smith, Jamiroquai & Yebba, a luscious blend of soul, R&B, jazz-funk, and acid jazz manifest in her harmonies, melisma, and jazz cadence.

Finite Experience - Finite brings to the world progressive grooves that stem from their beautiful range of countries including Nigeria, Senegal, Northern Ireland, Liberia and Barbados! Bringing tasteful R’n’B melodies and the instrumentalists together bring their love of jazz, Afro and progressive Neo- soul.

The Unstoppable Sweeties Show - 5-piece avant-garde punk slash jazz-pronk band! Serious mayhem to bring a refreshing contrast to the night.

Early doors will see some of Liverpool’s youngest Jazz Mutant Allstar players, 14-18 years old, improvising with our house band.

DJ Copious Notes will be spinning jazzy vinyl all night.
