Lewisham Libraries and Chaos Theory present *Echoes Off the Pages*, a series of free music events bringing inspiring sounds to new audiences. Combining captivating experimental musical performances with workshops, talks and demonstrations, *Echoes Off the Pages* allows audiences to experience unconventional sounds and gain insight into the techniques, instruments, and artistic vision behind the music they're hearing.
**Lia Mice** is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist, educator and pioneering maker of oversized musical instruments, releasing many albums on international labels. Mice explores the design of instruments larger than the performer. She builds with reclaimed materials headed for landfill and experiments with creating new eco-friendlier materials. ***Catastrophone*** is a new large physically performed synthesizer at two metres wide and tall, made of recycled cardboard and paper - specifically collaged images of cats!
Lia Mice will perform, demonstrate *Catastrophone*, and have an audience Q&A session.
Lewisham Libraries and Chaos Theory prioritise accessibility, creating a judgment-free atmosphere where neurodivergent audiences can engage with music on their own terms. All ages are welcome to enjoy these family-friendly events.
