Okay let’s get this out in the open **ASAP**: Oli Keens is a *dirty little DFL* (Dilf From London\*), who crawls up to Margate every few months to give it the big one. And yes, he's BACK: this disco-loving DJ kills it every time he’s here. Anyone who saw him wearing a horse’s head supporting Horse Meat Disco in March, or killing the Sundeck at Margate Pride in his underwear last year will agree.
He’s done festivals like Glastonbury, Mighty Hoopla, Body Movements, supported big queer cheeses like Honey Dijon, Grace Jones, Sam Smith – and warmed up for Norman Jay and Fat Tony at our venue in the past.
But for Friday March 23rd, we just wanted to give Oli the whole space to turn it into a big fun, free-wheeling mash-up of beautiful dance music and songs with more emotion than a surprise intervention.
An idea of what the vibe will be like: silly not serious, cheery not cheesy, occasionally melodramatic, always groovy af.
In his words “I’ll kick off with a power hour of pure disco, and slowly start bringing more classy house and techno into the mix. So by the end, I’ll be edging constantly between something hard and something mega fun. If you love edging, you’ll be in heaven.”
