Description

Coco Mbassi is an unclassifiable artist on the international music scene. Her timeless music blends African roots with jazz, soul, gospel, baroque, and classical influences. With a unique, versatile voice, she has captivated audiences worldwide for over 30 years.

Born in Paris to Cameroonian parents, Coco was singing before speaking! In 1996, she won the Radio France Internationale Découvertes Award & finalist @ 2002 BBC Radio 3 World Music Awards. Her debut album Sepia (2001) was a global success, followed by her 2nd album Sisea two years later. She was invited by Peter Gabriel to perform Live 8 in 2005 and has since collaborated with many artists.

In 2014, in musical theatre-she released her third album Jóa followed by Series Vol. 1 (2020), a masterclass in African vocal polyphony and polyrhythms. Her single Palaba followed in 2021 and an EP ELA in April 2024. Her next album Ewekedi is due for release in summer 2025.

Ayuk is a Cameroonian-born singer-songwriter with a passion for culture & dialects. Singing in English, Ejagham, Pidgin English, her unique blend of afro soul, acapella, afro-jazz, folklore, and traditional Cameroonian rhythms, at the O2 Arena, Parliament Square, Akwa Palace with groups like the London African Gospel Choir, and artists such as Emeli Sande and Sam Fan Thomas. Her EP ContriPikin, her singles (Obhasi Oka Kam Na Me, Chong Meh Kinah, The Light, Okot, Ejum Chang) and her Extended Play (EP) titled ContriPikin draw from real-life experiences.
